How do I repay my cash advance?

Your money will be automatically taken from your connected card or account on your repayment date.

If you need more time, you may be able to extend your repayment date.

Can I set up a payment plan?

Cleo doesn't offer structured manual payment plans. Any repayment you initiate yourself in the app must be for the full outstanding balance.

However, if you have opted into Partial Repayments, Cleo can help you chip away at your balance automatically if your initial full repayment fails.

What if I don't have enough money in my account?

If your balance is looking low, you can look into extending your repayment date in the app before your due date to avoid a failed transaction.

If a repayment is attempted and fails due to insufficient funds:

  • If you opted in to Partial Repayments: After the first full attempt fails, Cleo will automatically try to collect smaller, partial amounts over the following days to help you clear the balance.

  • If you didn’t opt in: Cleo will continue to attempt to collect the full amount while your debit authorization remains active.

How do I repay early?

If you're ready to repay early, you can either do so in Ask Cleo or by going to Request (formerly Borrow) and tapping Repay now.

Can I use my Cleo Card to repay my advance?

No: Your Cleo Card is actually a credit card, so you can't use it to repay your advance. You'll need to repay from a debit card or with a connected bank account, through ACH.
