How do I activate my Cleo Card?
While you're waiting for your physical card to arrive, you can spend online using your virtual card details, or in-store using your mobile wallet.
When your Cleo Card arrives, scan the QR code in the envelope to start your card activation flow.
From there, you'll
set your passcode or enter the passcode you created for your virtual card
fill in your card number, expiry date, and security code
Once you’ve done that, you’ll be able to view your card details and make purchases by tapping the card details button in the Spend. Remember: you’ll need your passcode to view your card details.
If you've added your card to your virtual wallet, you'll need to update it after activating your physical card. That's because the details on your virtual card and physical card are slightly different.
How do I freeze or temporarily block my card?
If you’d like to freeze your card and block transactions, you need to go to Spend:
Tap Freeze card
This button will magically transform into Unfreeze card once your card is frozen
Tap there as soon as you're ready to unblock
My card has been damaged, lost or stolen. How do I order a new one?
Go to Spend
Tap Replace card
You'll be taken through a flow to replace your card
Your balance will appear on your new card as soon as you reactivate it
FYI your new card should arrive within 5 days
How do I cancel my Cleo Card?
Go to Spend
Tap Manage my card
Scroll down to I've got questions
Choose the option to close your card account
FYI: make sure you've paid off the balance on your card and canceled any direct deposit settings before you cancel your card.
What happens to my security deposit when I cancel my Cleo Card?
Don’t sweat! Your security deposit will be returned to you if you cancel your Cleo Card.
Any funds that remain on your card will be transferred to the Plaid-connected bank account you’ve chosen. This is usually done the same week that the card closes, but heads up, it can take up to 45 days.
If you don’t have a Plaid bank account connected that we’re able to transfer the funds to, you’ll receive an email with further instructions.
FYI: your security deposit will only be returned to you once all live or unfinalized transactions are complete.
