2024 Cleo’s Savings Era Contest (“Sweepstakes”) Official Rules 

Cleo is the sponsor (“Sponsor”) for the 2024 Cleo’s Savings Era Contest (“the Contest”) 

NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN.  MAKING A PURCHASE OR PAYMENT WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCE OF WINNING. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED

THIS SWEEPSTAKES SHALL BE CONSTRUED AND EVALUATED ACCORDING TO UNITED STATES LAW. DO NOT ENTER THIS SWEEPSTAKES IF YOU ARE NOT LOCATED IN THE UNITED STATES. 

Entry into this Sweepstakes constitutes your acceptance of these Official Rules

Dates: 

The Sweepstakes begins on April 13 2024 at 8 AM PST/11 AM EST and ends on April 19 2024 at 12 AM PST/3 AM EST. No further entries will be considered once this deadline has passed. 

Who May Enter:

This Contest is open to US residents, aged 18 years or over, who are users of the Cleo app; except for employees of Cleo and their close relatives (parent, child, sibling or spouse of any of the foregoing) and anyone otherwise connected with the organization or judging of the competition. 

How to Enter: Eligible Entrants (“Entrants”) must:

1. Have downloaded the Cleo app (download is available at no cost)
2. Have at least one (1) bank account connected to the Cleo app, in order for Cleo to pay prize money if Entrant is a Winner. 
3. Have set up a Savings Wallet (“Wallet” or “Savings Wallet”)
4. Open the app within the ‘chat’ tab and type in”‘savings era.”
5. Complete the chat flow. 
6. Set up a savings goal following completion of the chat flow. Please note that setting up a savings goal does not require you to add money to your Wallet. If you do not add money to your Wallet, you are still eligible to enter this Sweepstakes.
7. If you complete the chat flow and you already have a savings goal set up, you are also eligible to enter this Sweepstakes. 
8. Users who successfully complete the “savings era” chat flow and who successfully set up a savings goal, if one does not already exist, (“Entrants”) will automatically be entered to win and are eligible to win double the value of the amount in their Wallet up to $500. 
9. The value in the Wallet is taken as of the Sweepstakes ending date, April 19th, 2024.
10. “Up to $500” means for example, that: some text
    1. If you are selected as the Winner and doubling your savings amount in existence at the Sweepstakes Ends does not exceed $500, then the amount in your Wallet will be doubled. In other words, if the value of your Wallet at the time the Sweepstakes ends is $100, you will win $100 (the “Prize”). $100 will be added to your Wallet and you will have a total of $200 in your Wallet. 
    2. If, however, you are selected as the Winner and doubling the amount in your Wallet that exists at the time the Sweepstakes ends would exceed $500, your Prize will be the difference between $500 and the amount in your Wallet at the time the Sweepstakes ends. In other words, if the value of your Wallet at that time is $300, your Prize will be $200, not $300. $200 will be added to your Wallet and you will have a total of $500 in your Wallet; 
    3. If you are selected as the Winner and your savings amount in existence at the time the Sweepstakes ends exceeds $500 your Prize will be $500 and the value in your Wallet will not be doubled. $500 will be added to your Wallet. 
11. If you have completed the required steps above but the amount in your Wallet is $0 and you are selected as the Winner, you will win $1. 

Notification

1. The winner (“Winner”) will be chosen Tuesday, April 23, 2024 12pm EST and sent a notification to redeem. If the Winner cannot be contacted or does not claim their Prize within 24 hours of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the Prize from the winner and pick a replacement Winner. 

Payment of Prize Money:

1. Prize money will be transferred to the Winner’s Savings Wallet within 24 hours of being selected. The Cleo Team will reach out to the Winner in order to facilitate the transfer.

Miscellaneous:

1. Limit to one (1) entry: There are no limits on how many times an Entrant may enter in the manner described above. However, the Entrant will only be entered once into the Prize draw. 
2. Winners are selected at random by software, from all entries received and verified by Cleo and or its agents. 
3. Users who set up a savings goal or who already have done so, but who have not entered the ‘Savings Era’ mode chat flow are not Entrants and will not be eligible for entry. 
4. Cleo accepts no responsibility for entries not received, nor for incomplete entries. Cleo is not responsible for inaccurate Prize details supplied to any Entrant by any third party connected with this Sweepstakes.
5. Cleo reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition without notice. Any changes to the competition will be notified to Entrants as soon as possible by Cleo.
6. Cleo’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into regarding such decision(s). 
7. The Prize is as stated and no cash or other alternatives will be offered. Prize is not transferable. Prize are subject to availability and we reserve the right to substitute any Prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice. Except as specifically provided herein, all applicable taxes and usage charges on Prizes are the sole responsibility of the winner. 
8. This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Instagram, Twitter or any other Social Network or form of social media. You are providing your information to Cleo and not to any other party. 
9. Entrants agree that (1) any and all disputes and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Sweepstakes, or any prizes awarded, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by final and binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association (AAA) and held at the AAA regional office nearest the Entrant’s residence; (2) the Federal Arbitration Act shall govern the interpretation, enforcement and all proceedings at such arbitration; and (3) judgment upon such arbitration award may be entered in any court having jurisdiction. Under no circumstances will Entrant be permitted to obtain awards for, and Entrant hereby waives all rights to claim, punitive, incidental or consequential damages, or any other damages, including attorneys’ fees, other than Entrant’s actual out-of-pocket expenses (i.e., costs associated with entering this Sweepstakes), and Entrant further waives all rights to have damages multiplied or increased. 
10.  No entry may contain any offensive or vulgar content or depict any pornographic or illegal act. Any entry containing inappropriate content, as determined by Cleo in its sole and absolute discretion, will be considered ineligible and will not be part of the Sweepstakes. By submitting an Entry, each Entrant agrees his or her Entry complies with these Official Rules. Each Entrant also agrees that Cleo may disqualify the Entrant from the Sweepstakes if Cleo believes, in its sole and absolute discretion, that an Entry fails to comply with these Official Rules. If Cleo rejects any entry, such Entry will be disqualified and will not be considered a valid entry. 
11. By participating in this Sweepstakes, each Entrant agrees to release and hold Cleo and its respective parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, officers, directors, representatives, agents and employees, from any and all liability whatsoever for any injuries, losses or damages of any kind arising from or in connection with, either directly or indirectly from: 1) the awarding, acceptance, receipt, possession, use and/or misuse of any prize awarded herein; or 2) participation in the Sweepstakes or any prize-related activities.
12. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of Entrants and Cleo in connection with this Sweepstakes, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the substantive laws of the State of Delaware, USA without regard to Delaware’s choice of law rules.

Privacy

By accepting any Cleo Prize, the Winner(s) consents to Cleo's use of their name and image in any publicity material for legitimate business purposes, which may include advertising and promotional activities, without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law.
