Rent Free September Giveaway — Terms and Conditions

NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. Entry is free. Connecting a bank account to Cleo is free and does not require a paid subscription. This promotion is a free draw and is not licensed gambling under the Gambling Act 2005.

By connecting your bank account to Cleo during the Promotion Period you are automatically entered into the Giveaway under these Terms and Conditions. If you do not wish to be entered, see clause 5.5.

1. The Promoter

1.1 The promoter is Cleo AI Ltd ("Cleo", "we"), a company registered in England and Wales (09864205) whose registered office is at Fourth Floor The Gilbert, 40 Finsbury Square, London, United Kingdom, EC2A 1PX (the "Promoter").

1.2 This promotion is the "Rent Free September" giveaway (the "Giveaway"). These terms and conditions (the "Terms") apply to the Giveaway. By entering, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Promotion Period

2.1 The Giveaway opens at 00:00 (BST) on Sunday 3 August 2026 and closes at 23:59 (BST) on Monday 31 August 2026 (the "Promotion Period"). Bank connections completed outside the Promotion Period will not be entered.

3. Eligibility

3.1 The Giveaway is open to individuals who, at the time of entry: (a) are resident in the United Kingdom; (b) are aged 18 or over; and (c) connect a bank account to the Cleo app for the first time during the Promotion Period ("new bank connections" only).

3.2 Existing Cleo users who connected a bank account before the Promotion Period are not eligible. Reconnecting a previously connected bank account does not count as a new bank connection.

3.3 Employees of Cleo and their close relatives (parent, child, sibling or spouse), and anyone otherwise professionally connected with the organisation or administration of the Giveaway, are not eligible to enter.

3.4 The winner must, at the date of the draw and at the point of claiming the prize, remain (a) a UK resident, (b) aged 18 or over, and (c) bank-connected to Cleo. Cleo will verify these conditions before the prize is awarded.

4. How to Enter

4.1 To enter, download the Cleo app and successfully connect your bank account to Cleo for the first time between 3 and 31 August 2026. Entry is automatic: every eligible new bank connection completed during the Promotion Period is entered into the Giveaway. No entry form is required.

4.2 No purchase, subscription or payment is required to enter or win. Subscribing to any paid Cleo product does not increase your chances of winning.

4.3 Each eligible entrant receives one (1) entry. Connecting multiple bank accounts does not increase your chances of winning.

4.4 Cleo accepts no responsibility for entries that fail because a bank connection could not be completed for technical reasons outside Cleo’s reasonable control.

5. Automatic Entry and Withdrawal

5.1 Entry into the Giveaway is automatic on completion of an eligible new bank connection during the Promotion Period, as disclosed on the Giveaway landing page and in Giveaway advertising.

5.2 These Terms are available on the Giveaway landing page throughout the Promotion Period and can be downloaded and retained.

5.3 Entry does not require you to opt in to marketing communications from Cleo. Any marketing opt-in offered during signup is optional and has no effect on your entry or chances of winning.

5.4 Cleo may send you communications strictly necessary to administer the Giveaway (for example, winner notification). These are not marketing communications.

5.5 If you do not wish to be included in the Giveaway, you may withdraw at any time before the draw by contacting [team@meetcleo.com / support channel]. Withdrawal from the Giveaway does not affect your use of Cleo.

6. The Prize

6.1 There is one (1) prize: £2,500 (two thousand five hundred pounds sterling), awarded to one (1) winner, paid by bank transfer to a UK bank account in the winner’s name.

6.2 The prize will be paid within [14] days of the winner being verified and accepting the prize.

6.3 The prize is not transferable. Cleo reserves the right to substitute the prize with a prize of equal or greater value only if circumstances beyond its reasonable control make this unavoidable.

6.4 The winner is responsible for any tax liability arising from acceptance of the prize, if applicable.

7. Winner Selection

7.1 The winner will be selected at random on Tuesday 1 September 2026 from all eligible entries received during the Promotion Period.

7.2 The draw will be conducted by computer software: each eligible entry will be assigned a randomly generated number and one entry will be selected at random from all eligible entries. The selection process produces verifiably random results in accordance with the CAP Code, and the method, inputs and outcome will be documented and retained.

7.3 The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.

8. Winner Notification and Claim

8.1 The winner will be notified by email to the email address associated with their Cleo account within [7] days of the draw. Cleo may also contact the winner via the Cleo app.

8.2 The winner must respond and complete verification within [14] days of first notification. If the winner cannot be contacted, does not respond in time, declines the prize, or is found ineligible, Cleo reserves the right to select an alternate winner from the remaining eligible entries by the same method.

8.3 Before the prize is awarded, Cleo will verify that the winner remains a UK resident, aged 18 or over, and bank-connected to Cleo (clause 3.4).

9. Winner Announcement and Publicity

9.1 In accordance with the CAP Code, Cleo will make available the surname and county of the winner to anyone who requests it within [three months] of the closing date by emailing [team@meetcleo.com]. If you object to your surname and county being made available, contact Cleo at the same address before or when claiming the prize; Cleo must nevertheless provide this information to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.

9.2 Participation in publicity (beyond clause 9.1) is not a condition of entry or of receiving the prize. Any use of the winner’s name, image or story in Cleo marketing will only take place with the winner’s separate, prior written consent, requested at the point of claim.

10. Data Protection

10.1 Cleo will process entrants’ personal data (including name, contact details, country of residence and bank connection status) for the purpose of administering the Giveaway, selecting and verifying the winner, and awarding the prize, in accordance with UK data protection law and Cleo’s Privacy Policy, available at https://web.meetcleo.com/page/privacy-policy.

10.2 Personal data will not be used for marketing purposes unless you have separately opted in to marketing communications.

11. General

11.1 Cleo’s decision in relation to all matters concerning the Giveaway is final. Where a decision affects entrants’ rights, Cleo will act reasonably and in accordance with these Terms and the CAP Code.

11.2 Cleo reserves the right to cancel, suspend or amend the Giveaway only where circumstances beyond its reasonable control make this unavoidable, and will do everything reasonable to avoid consumer disappointment. Any changes will be notified on the Giveaway landing page.

11.3 Cleo reserves the right to disqualify any entry it reasonably believes to be fraudulent, made in breach of these Terms, or made using false or misleading eligibility information.

11.4 Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits Cleo’s liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability which cannot be excluded or limited under English law. Subject to that, Cleo is not liable for any loss or damage arising from participation in the Giveaway beyond the value of the prize.

11.5 This Giveaway is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Meta, Instagram, TikTok, X, YouTube or any other social media platform.

12. Governing Law

12.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes arising in connection with the Giveaway will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
